System requirements
A legislative LEL control/ monitoring system must comply with national Standards and in future with the European Standard EN 1539.
The following basic rules apply
- fail safe system
- continuous measurement of the solvent concentration
- usage of certified solvent sensors. (depending on country)
Taking these requirements into account, Hartmann Umwelttechnik GmbH offers a system that meets all the requirements of EN 1539.
- Continuous LEL monitoring per measuring point.
- The sample gas is continuously extracted and analyzed.
- The sample gas extraction is also continuously monitored and its functionality is tested at predetermined intervals using an implemented proof test.
- This ensures that the sample gas extraction also meets safety level PLd.
In the LEL control system, the LEL measurement signal is also used to control the exhaust air dampers. This ensures that the exhaust air is always operated as optimally and close to the limit value as possible.
